SHERBNO. "U.S.S. PC449" with a side view of the experimental submarine chaser underway; linen post card sent free 1942 by C. S. Sherbno to his daughters in Toledo Ohio, trivial wear at one corner. Launched in May 1940, this ship appeared as shown only briefly, being substantially modified in early 1945 into a mock escort carrier CVE for Operation Swiss Navy.
